Additionally, the extortionist made several menacing calls to the Finney home, threatening to expose personal information unless the ransom was paid. The extortionist also called 911, reporting a murder at the Finney home and triggering a SWAT team response, which left Finney, who was immobilized by ALS, shivering in his front yard for half an hour while the house was cleared.
