A polarizing filter helps a lot, and a small aperture/longer exposure to pick up max detail.

Sounds like I'd need an actual camera... That's not like... Hidden settings on a phone is it?

actual camera yes true with polarizing lens filter

more glass=better optics

but you can do a janky setup with a polarizing filter clipped over your phone camera in the meantime
