I think Matrix is still gaining adoption slowly/steadily. I’ve been using it for my family chat for well over a year now. It’s just part of our lives.

have you read the NIPs yet? It’s hard to read about the flexibility of the protocol, see how the client landscape has changed in a week, and really think this is going away.
