Actually, to add on a separate topic: sure, being together is better/nicer iff things are working out. My point is that with todays views and (misguided) opinions, the chance of things working out are very different from, say, 50 years ago. And I truly believe that being with the wrong person can be devastating for anyone. So it's not something to force yourself (not meant to imply you specifically) into.
