I wanna code a Bitcoin wallet as a hobby project.
I'd really rather do a Lightning one but it's more difficult unless it's only for node runners... then again that's not a bad idea either...

Yeah this is a personal project to help me learn. Best way to improve coding skills in my experience is having an actual project to build.
I'll prob open source it if it's functional but mostly to help others learning to code Bitcoin stuff. I'll put a big huge disclaimer on it saying it's a personal learning project and not to trust it with real amounts of coin.
Best outcome tho would be if people get interested and send PRs and it becomes something real through community effort 👌
