I love it too....here in Kenya,.in my native language we call it nduma...that's Kikuyu for taro or arrowroot

It's not common here in Australia and if you can find it, it's expensive.

It's too hot to grow potatoes here. Taro & cassava seem to be my best options for starch.

It's beginning to get expensive here especially in towns but in the rural area it grows mostly along the river...like weeds...they just don't stop sprouting

Cassava is good for me too... especially when boiled then fried

I was just looking for a recipe for them yesterday! Still haven’t decided what to do with them 😂

They're really nice cut into cubes, simmered until just soft & then roasted.

Both times I've cooked them too long so just mashed them. Very filling & tasty.
