I am very very happy with my BMax B3 Plus

light, robust, powerful, wifi works really well when you don't have access to plug it in, super reliable and does well with power surges

Cool. Librem Mini and System76 Meerkat have a similar form factor and might also work well here.

Another interesting option here, as a laptop, could be a PineBook Pro loaded with expansion board for NVMe support and drive.
