Good nostr use case I hadn’t thought of. Especially in countries where the Bible is illegal, I think it could be helpful. But many safety precautions have to go into it.
Thinking about the functionality of an npub dedicated to storing the whole bible… What would be needed? High relay count? Good search function?
I hadn’t even thought of that.
Websites like Bible.com let you read the bible digitally for free and many free bible apps already exists. But yeah would be cool to save the whole bible onto nostr relay somewhere just incase the WEF tries to nuke the web.
I was thinking along these lines with my recent comments about the ability to send files over nostr:npub1exv22uulqnmlluszc4yk92jhs2e5ajcs6mu3t00a6avzjcalj9csm7d828. Scripture, theological training materials, code, (real) journalism...behind "enemy" lines, as it were...

Already working on a descent search feature for stuff like this with a separate search pseudo relay (NIP-50) which utilizes elastic search. All the events with passages could go there (for search only) + the whole thing could be published from a single npub (for browsing)
Exactly what I was trying to think of with the relay(s). Would this be a specific singular relay that you could connect to at will? Or would it be published to multiple? Unfamiliar with NIP50 but going to go check it out.
Could be a single one for performance I guess but it would still be nice to broadcast the events to other relays (think decentralization).
Nip50 basically allows you to find events by content
