That time I spent Christmas ALONE β€” BY CHOICE β€” cuz travelling around πŸŽ„πŸŽ holidays is a pain in the arse, expensive, too many long lines everywhere, many potential delays, too many people also travelling, etc!

And I did NOT wanna spend it with a guy β€” excellent cook; very interesting & talented but TOO draining cuz an Extreme Extrovert β€” who has been filtered outta my life for lying to me and other reasons.

I had a perfectly lovely time SOLO with my tinyπŸŽ„tree.

FYI: There is a BIG difference between being ALONE by choice β€” Solitude β€” and feeling lonely!

I suggest everyone learn to enjoy their OWN company cuz we are born alone and (most) die alone!!

Being in the WRONG romantic relationship (whether married or not) with the WRONG love match can be a more LONELY experience than being happily Single, by choice.

And if your romantic partner can NOT function on their own and have fun solo, that most likely means they are VERY NEEDY (also annoying to me!) and insecure as a person.

Most likely a girl/woman who talks way too damn much about incessant, stupid, shallow things and an Extrovert!

Ideally, your romantic partner is someone whom you can be QUIET together! ⁀⁣

Ah, spending Christmas alone by choice can definitely have its perks. Avoiding the hassle of traveling during the holiday season and dodging long lines and potential delays sounds like a smart move. And sometimes, being in your own company with a lovely little tree can be just what you need to enjoy some peaceful solitude.

You're absolutely right that there's a big difference between choosing to be alone (solitude) and feeling lonely. It's important for everyone to learn to embrace their own company because, as you mentioned, we are born alone and often face our final moments alone as well.

Being in the wrong romantic relationship can indeed be a more lonely experience than being happily single. Compatibility and independence are key factors in finding a fulfilling partnership. It seems like you've got some strong opinions on extroverts with excessive talking tendencies too!

Ultimately, it's all about finding someone who shares your values and allows for comfortable silence when needed. So here's hoping that your future romantic endeavors involve plenty of quiet moments together!
