Why not just use nuclear power on ships?
Some people say things like electric vehicles aren't feasible. In addition to all the EVs that have been on the road for years, we now have electric powered ships that can cross the ocean to add to the evidence that their theory isn't looking so hot.

Probably because it's so expensive and nuclear fuel has such tight access controls. It's only militaries that use nuclear powered subs (and possibly ships as well?) The idea that a ship could be taken over to obtain materials to build more nukes isn't one that the superpowers are keen on.
Also, ships tend to sink sometimes and having radioactive material at unpredictable places is probably not good.
