I mean kinda. I've been refused jobs for having long hair before because they would ask me hypothetical questions like, hypothetically would you cut your hair for this job? And I said, well, hypothetically, go fuck yourself.

Not really sure if it was net positive or negative. The jobs weren't really that high end. And I honestly didn't want to work in a place where they took appearance and do account that heavily.

Beyond work situations, I've never really thought about it though.

You used to have to include a picture with your CV, in Germany, and I think that probably hurt my chances, rather than helping them. I look very foreign and girly.

Weird. You would think skills would be the only thing that would matter. And yeah, pictures on your CV, it's pretty common in the US as well.

I'm always applying for "typically male jobs". They like tough-looking females, and I look like a kindergarten teacher.
