There was a lot of shrill BS during COVID times about Australia. Just like the US, Australia is a bunch of states. Some of us lived pretty fucking free with very limited lockdowns

it definitely went 110% totalitarian then... predominantly in Vic, but when it's not 1984 it's an extremely beautiful country. I think most naturally born Aussies take it for granted tbh. blessed to live here imo
