standards for what exactly I see its for lightning address and for verification for nostr address how does one begin to learn the standards ? Are all the people on here just geniuses ?

Don’t worry about the nips directly. They are mainly for the developers here. NIP-05 is probably the only one, AKA your Nostr Address. Use hashtags to help your experience. #introductions and #plebchain for followers. Use #asknostr to ask questions.
