This is why the technology is not what will presume pill average Joe. It has to be a felt need, like getting debanked and financially cancelled (patreon no longer likes you), getting fed up with CC processing fees, hyperinflation, or going international.

Exactly. And it is happening. I am at a worldschooling camp and a lady was running around that the bank canceled her card. When asked why, they said they can cancel it according to terms and conditions and don't have to tell her why.
