it's not the tankers it's were the oil goes. oil to China bad. oil to EU, even from Russia good.
Venezuela has a problem, it's in US backyard and it's selling its oil to China. Not good for Venezuela. The world is split in two, Venezuela is geographically in one side seedling oil to the other side.

According to this logic, it depends on the subjective opinion of other nations instead of international law.
My grandfather told me Japan bombed Pearl Harbor because the United States blocked oil...So that's my bias.
The US administration has been instigating wars for decades and regularly rearranges its pawns. Whether in Europe or the Middle East.
They have always hated the gas pipelines from Russia to Germany. They hated any kind of friendship between both nations. And now it's super duper great that Germany is accepting liquid gas from the US. 😱 That's my bias.
