The key is the size of the app. Right now, it is impossible to vibecode Amethyst. The AI is not far out from re-doing everything Amethyst does in a single prompt, but I am not sure that is what we want.
Alexandria is already past the vibe-coded horizon, as well. And, from the way they're constantly in flux and decaying around the edges, that also applies to all mid-sized Nostr apps, like Nostrudel, Jumble, Coracle, etc.
I've just dramatically shrunk the code, with a rewrite, but that took nearly two weeks and I spent most of that looking at nothing but blank browsers with consoles full of errors, unable to deliver a single feature. Just frozen.
It's all really reactive, now, but that's it's own special nightmare.
