Not if you want to run a full archival node. Pruned nodes are shitcoins.

It doesn’t change the consensus rules, but it tries to change the cultural consensus, that has always been hostile against arbitrary data on chain. More arbitrary data on chain degrades our ability to affordably run nodes, and more usecases reduce the monetary premium of Bitcoin.

Ah, I thought pruned nodes cut off transactions that are older then some date to reduce data 🤔

I was thinking about keeping all the transactions since the Genesis but just not saving the unnecessary stuff 😅
