“Be your own bank” is powerful bc banks don’t just purportedly “hold” your “money”, they also actively debase the supply through fractional reserve lending.

By running your own node, you can audit your self custodial funds (heck even custodial funds if you still want someone else to hold your shit; all the funds) while enforcing a complete lack of debasement. Gotta love it.
