If I had Sphynx, it would definitely go by name Rukavice (glove). I heard tho they still irritate allergic people and the skin can be sticky and attract some junk and dust.👀
Understood. Who knows, maybe you'll meet one one day and change your mind?
And yes,
"The Sphynx cat (pronounced SFINKS, /ˈsfɪŋks/) also known as the Canadian Sphynx, is a breed of cat known for its lack of fur. Hairlessness in cats is a naturally occurring genetic mutation, and the Sphynx was developed through selective breeding of these animals, starting in the 1960s."

"Sphynx are known for their extroverted behavior. They display a high level of energy, intelligence, curiosity and affection for their owners.
They are one of the more dog-like breeds of cats, frequently greeting their owners at the door and are friendly when meeting strangers.
Sphynx cats tend to be highly attached to their owners, often demanding large amounts of attention, and if said attention is not given, can get into trouble. The mischievous cats love to cuddle for body warmth, due to their lack of fur.
A study was conducted by the Journal of Veterinary Behavior in 2012, and while further research needs to be conducted, purebred Sphynx cats were rated by their owners as friendlier than purebred European cats."
Discussion
Hell yes! And yes, they are not hypoallergenic...though as close as you could get.
Diet, ear cleaning and reasonably regular baths make skin oil a non-issue. Sphynx "rust" washes clean, and they leave no hair on clothing etc.
nostr:npub1ytx8ffefzymnsen8eu99g9rwnc4emfpdyjjk2hrlqkqs8sfr8feq5vek79 is of course the most amazing sphynx that ever sphynxed, so I'm a bit biased ;)
Because they actually have a very very delicate and short fur, that is mostly not noticeable. They're not completely hairless like humans (actually humans aren't either :-D). Another fun fact is that all Sphynxes come from 6 original "hairless" cats.
Yea I know that, just asking if it's true. I wanted to get one, but husband is heavily allergic.
