Sorry this is confusing!
If you connect your wallet in the extension again it generates a new Nostr address automatically. You need to import your Nostr keys you have used, as we do not store them anywhere. Wy try to prompt newly connected wallets to back up or import their Nostr (and master key).
Any ideas how we could make it better?
Probably shouldn't generate new keys without user confirmation, so that they are aware of what they're doing wrong.
