nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg can someone tell me what technical and management processes happen when you select the ‘Report user’ on someone’s profile?

Also - can there be an option to stop certain content from following me?

I don’t know whether Primal specifically does anything differently but in general a Nostr client will just write a kind 1984 event to the relays when a report is made. It is then up to clients or relay operators to do something with these events. Some relays and clients may use these events as part of their filtering but a lot don’t.

I don’t think there is really any way to stop someone from following. The best you can do is block so you don’t see it.

I had a fake Michael Saylor account following me and I sent him a DM asking him to unfollow me.

He didn’t reply so I told him that every time I saw it, I would open his profile and copy/paste a text to all his followers that he was a scammer imposter profile. (Most are just unaware)

I always tagged him so he’d see the posts. He lost like 30 of the 100 followers he had in a day.

—He unfollowed me. Haha
