Question for nostr community: what is the best website or app that lists activities going on in your local area?
I am in a new state and looking for interesting things to do.
I also feel like there’s two tiers of activities, things like farmers markets, which are great, and then things like artistic nightlife. I’m interested in both.

By the way, I could see nostr community building something like this in the future that surpasses the web 1.0, in Web 2.0 version.
We are at the phase where if you can’t find it, chances are it doesn’t exist yet —
but if you can find a way to build it, that can be your contribution.
Yeah, that is a contribution that I would like to make. I’ve thought a lot about it for years.
I work as a PM and I have had some experience with how soc med optimizes for maximum engagement.
And I envisioned a social media that takes a radically different approach, and specifically optimizes for one thing: creating and promoting real life in person friendships.
I basically imagine an AI running on something like nostr that identifies groups of people (who opt in) in an area and the AI suggests a specific event meetups like:
“hey bunch of you all seem to be into outdoors activities and you’re in the same region, are you interested in doing a paddleboard this Sunday?”
Then you could give it a thumbs up, and once you see that five other people are interested it might motivate you to go do the thing and make some real life friends.

Try use hashtags of the location of your nearby area. Then message everyone who uses that hashtag and form a local group?
