Leviticus was just really boring. Seemed like a rule based chapter that mainly doesn’t apply to life anymore.
Exodus had some pockets that were more interesting than others, but had a lot of rape, incest, and killing 😅 I honestly didn’t know this was in the Bible and wasn’t necessarily frowned upon. I guess maybe just Old Testament?
Why did you decide to start reading the Bible?
I don’t have an exact answer.
I guess it boils down to it being the most read and printed book in history, so imo there must be value in reading what it has to say as opposed to simply attending church.
I’m a lapsed Catholic and I haven’t been to mass in years. I believe the institution has been co-opted. I still believe God exists, although in what form, I’m not able to explain.
I also think it has become more important to reestablish the main values and principles that the religion promotes as our society continues to degrade.
