I'm also not sure, I'm afraid. As far as I can tell, blossom makes blobs of any object, just like git does, and then it somehow disperses it all over any fileserver with that origination note for reference, so that you can always find the file. Or something.
And I'm wondering if there'll be some implementation that is nostr.build specific. Can we say, "Please only spread on nostr.build fileservers." or something? Can we have preferred fileserver providers?
Or did I completely misundertand the blossom thingy?
Ok, I think I know what you are talking about. I do not think that the blossom was designed for media, and more for just a generic file sharing. Although it’s great for what it is designed, it is not aligned with the goals of media hosting that is focused on delivery of the images and videos transcoded for the best viewing experience. 🐶🐾🫡
