We live in a world where a judge can have 21 DUIs on her record and never see a day in jail or even a fine

Her husband works as a lawyer and gets people to plead guilty even if they can win the case

while she sentences them to the maximum because they are part owners of a private prison

And the best part is she loves telling defendants what pieces of shit they are

She tried to sentence a guy to over a year in prison for having .001 grams of weed

Literally a stem with crumbs on it in a bag next to him in an area full of people

- that specific case - was my friend

He was appointed a lawyer

that literally had no idea what he was doing and I ended up screaming at the lawyer in the middle of the courtroom to do his job because my friend was about to go to jail because of this evil woman

And it turned out ok for him - because I'm not stupid

But no one would speak out against this woman and it was terrible

I was part of a campaign to get her fired

It didn't work

But

Her marriage fell apart

And the only thing people could do about her was hire her ex husband as a lawyer so there would be a conflict of interest and they could get a fair judge

My idea ofc

You could just fire him and not pay him after you got a new judge because he sucked

All he knew was false confessions and deals

The record of her getting stopped while driving intoxicated was in the police records

But no arrests were made

No jail time

Not even a ticket

The coerced confession and push to make a deal even if people could win was through testimony of people's personal experience with them

Which I had also witnessed

Undeniable pattern

There was a major breech of trust

I can't say how police records were obtained

But these people in power were taking advantage of people who were vulnerable
