So glad you asked!

No guided videos

No guided apps

No guided audio

Need at minimum 20 minutes of silence & stillness before you begin to see anything (flashes, vivid images, etc.)

Eyes closed, looking out & up in the direction of your third eye (like straight ahead, then up without straining your eyes), Sit quietly in a dark room, focus solely on breath.

Deep breath (easy breathing, not hard/aggressive) in nose, hold 5-7 sec., out through mouth, 5-7 sec.

Control your breath

Think of nothing. Let all good & bad thoughts / visuals come. They will go in time. Just Be.

I too am still learning which mantras to repeat outloud as this reverberates through your body, into your soul. This is next level of meditation and really need yogi to teach you how to pronounce said mantras correctly.

Hope this helps πŸ’œ

Meditating outside in the grass is the best

I like all of this except "think of nothing", this is not possible for humans! How about "let thoughts slip away, don't linger". On "no guided audio or apps".... there are different schools of thought. I think starting with an app with an aspiration of being unguided can be good approach. Of course the ancients didn't have apps, so I appreciate where you are coming from, but i would hate for people to start there on their own and then bail....
