I have met both new users to bitcoin and now a new user to Nostr who lost their private key because they didnโ€™t back it up and (for whatever reason) decided to delete the only app where the key was stored because they ran out of space on their phone.

There is no reset button for a private key!

There is absolutely no one who can help you recover it!

Making a backup is easy, it takes less than a minute to do.

I guess mistakes are still the best ways to learn, but please, at least try to learn from someone elseโ€™s.

Agreed ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

There's no reset button, folks! But hey, making a backup takes less than a minute, so do it! Learn from others' mistakes or become a cautionary tale ๐Ÿ˜‚ #bitcoin #Nostr

It's the fastest way that's 4 sure

Crazy how many people still don't understand this. A friend of mine introduced me to a guy the other week who needed help with his wallet, he had lost his seed phrase ๐Ÿ™„

People will have to learn the hard way I guess. Atleast it means less coins in circulation

Learning never ends unless you donโ€™t want to!

Remember to practice safe nsecs, and always back up your private keys! Also, when youโ€™re using a Nostr web client, use an extension that stores your private key locally such as nos2x or getAlby so you donโ€™t have to paste it and risk accidental exposure. ๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿ”‘

Looks like I know what my next Bitcoin for Bunnies ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ•ณ๏ธ post will be about!
