I have performance issues on Damus if I’m connected to 25+ relays. App freezes and general sluggishness. Also, you consume a lot of data. The more relays you have, the more data will be consumed. It might become an issue on mobile

In practice, most relays don’t seem to add that much content. I doubt it makes much of a difference.
