This is the reason we need a decentralized market solution for our food. We need to make the regulatory bodies obsolete. Big food has the FDA bought and paid for.

In Brazil they are already making this illegal (at least close to big cities)

try to buy baby chickens and farmers refuse to sell less than 1000 individuals, for fear of sanitary inspectors.

even their own neighbors denounce them. Hard to know if they are really brainwashed, or if it is just envy, or desire to hurt.

they are cracking down on domestic producers - whoever has a few chickens for their own consumption, they will impose so many bureaucratic / medical / architectural demands that the small farms give up and kill their birds.
