Is this toggle only for the feed? If I turn it off, will publishing events still follow the Outbox/Gossip model?
Hey Codyy, unfortunately no when it is disabled it just sent to the write relays, however i think we can add this option as preferences within the outbox settings 🤔
It’s best to always follow the outbox model when publishing, otherwise other clients might miss notifications, replies, or reactions. I’m not sure whether Yakihonne also relies on the outbox model when querying these events.
we rely on the outbox model if it is enabled, however if it is disabled we are just following thr traditional publishing way at least for now.
This is for the mobile app, for the web the outbox mode is enabled by default 🙏
