If that’s the norm on your feed you need to curate your feed better. Nostr is what you chose to see and I don’t see any of that bullshit.
I see that and bitcoin maxis. That’s about it. But also searchability appears pretty bad here still
Bitcoin maxis are definitely prevalent (I’m not an outspoken one but I don’t mind it)
I do suggest finding people who you like and checking out their follower list. On some clients you can even do a “read only” log in with their npub
