Let's measure in #gold! First up [1] we can see that #bitcoin had a real increase in value compared to gold and still does. Second up [2] quite surprisingly the US dollar kept pretty stable in gold terms 2011-2020, but the long term is halving in value each 5 year that passes by.

Personally I kind of like the idea of messuring bitcoins in grams of gold, and will look up this more often as it updates. For reference see link in the pictures.
