There are no privacy guarantees with Bitcoin, that's a problem for p2p electronic cash. Samourai Wallet's CoinJoin implementation made it possible for Bitcoin users to have similar anonymity as cash users. And for that, the devs were sentenced to 4 & 5 years in prison.
