Yay for fixing stuff! I have a low-key goal to replace all my faux disposable stuff (appliances, tools, etc) with fixable stuff whenever possible.

Gosh, it's hard to do that, but, I get it! When I build my home, it will be built to a standard for the structure with the goal to last 2-300 years. The inside will be flexible enough to be easy to service the appliances if necessary, and most systems will be built with maintenance and longevity in mind (mostly eliminating as much plastic as possible).
It is difficult! It's so frustrating to try to fix something and find it's glued or molded in a way that prevents "tampering". Or fabrics so cheap they disintegrate instead of being mendable.

Yeah. All of that is super annoying. I miss being able to easily replace batteries in phones, too.
As I build, I'm going to document so that future owners can see how to fix things without tearing everything apart.
