Where did they announced that? And how do they intend to implement it? I'm on iris but I'm a fedi user too and I want be able to follow people there from nostr.

The dev of Iris recently implemented filters on the client level after the fedi migration made fun of maxis and broke through their fake support of freedom of speech and finance, and Will announced similar intent.

Doesn't help that maxis are also talking about bringing about the likes of FediBlock and Twitter-style blocklists to Nostr clients because they got ego bruised.

He restricted the spam filters so it’s harder to find Fedi accounts on Global.

I still see plenty of fedi racism here for now on iris. Bringing fediblock-like lists on nostr clients sounds hopeless though
