nostr:npub1ux2crkcx39gllak7tj5302uf5u4j4ger5p3eyl56dtv4qr44v97s6d5jws I was watching a couple videos about neutron stars earlier this week, and I found everything very interesting, on how it's so dense that it distorts the light that passes nearby it so when being observed by the front you can see part of the backside, and how its gravity is so high that the nuclei of its atoms fuse with each other, and how all this makes the star spin uncontrollably fast and creates electromagnetic pulses on its poles and shit like that.

The videos just don't explain exactly how all those conclusions were reached, because those stars are insanely far from here and they are only observable by telescopes that gather radiation signals and, frankly, it seems that most of this stuff is just conjunctures created by researchers in an attempt to explain things, not unlike old civilizations creating gods and mythos for the same purposes.
