At what point when the penny drops that your in a career that over the next 5 years the best you can make is X and you know that you need Y just to get buy in fiat terms do you throw in the towel and back yourself?

For me at the point I realized I couldn't pay for my kids education without doing things I didn't want to (basically become a manager and obey the 'orders').
At that point I started to take serious care of my own finances and within 10 years was financially independent.
Most of that I own to #Bitcoin.
Financially independent is what I consider freedom..
Unfortunately.. there is no ways I can provide my kids what I was provided by my father for many reasons but mainly because I’m earning the same as he was in FIAT terms 30 years ago and obviously we all know how much inflation has increased since then.. swimming upstream everyday..
No wonder young people give up and take their own lives when there really isn’t a way out…
