The Hong Kong government is considering making changes to a HK$500,000 art installation outside the East Kowloon Cultural Centre after receiving feedback that the display resembles funeral tributes. The installation, consisting of rows of LED roses that are white during the day and lit up in blue at night, has drawn comments on social media that it looks haunting and reminiscent of flowers in memorial halls or placed by tombstones. Jack Cheung, a Kwun Tong district councillor, stated that the Home Affairs Department and the installation's contractors are in discussion and will make some minor tweaks.
