I heard someone say it's lost 90% of its value since 1994. I think that sounds accurate. House prices ten times higher, and many expenses - it matches what I'm seeing.
I see most prices or normal things doubled since before covid, or more. Anything from used cars to olive oil - I look at a price that looks crazy, and if half of that price sounds right, I figure it's about right. I treat it like it's not even the same currency anymore.
