When I think of some of my friends practically begging for attention with their bullshit posts on linkedin, hating the shit, but “that‘s how you do it”…

I‘m honestly sad.

But here‘s something interesting: If they come to Nostr, they would naturally try doing the same “5 advices on how…” content and noone here would give a damn.

So they would be like oh, what‘s going on?

Naturally our advice would be, bro, just actually say something. And they would have to think as human, which is something they are not used to, because all they were doing was feeding the algo.

The moment a normie realize this is crucial - I believe most of them would get scared and go back to linkedin/x/whatever where they hate it, but they (sort of) understand it.

This situation is absolutely crazy when you think about it!

Being raw and authentic is the way. But it’s a learned skill and takes time to develop.

Right? It’s crazy that this is something we have to learn, at least I do.

I’m still not there yet. Sometimes I post something and then go like, wait, is this really me? It’s not that I share music I don’t actually like, it’s subtler than that, choice of words maybe...

Social media really did a number on me. Insane. But Nostr and people here help a lot.

I can relate. I’m right there with you.

I’ve had a presence online for less than a year and I’m still learning to be myself and stop caring about what people might say or think about me.

That's actually why I never fit in twitter. And got banned.

🧑🏻‍⚖️ “Too human-like - ban”

one is either an artist or a faker—creating content for content sucks
