I'm more of a computer guy myself. But I like stuff like the Thinkpad yoga running Linux.
My wife doesn't touch normal computers. iPhone or iPad. And her 2012 iPad stopped getting updates.
She will use it for ten years so 2k is a ok price.
I do use a m1 Mac for work.

no sarcasm ser, i thought all apple devices have long os support, im on a 10 y/o thinkpad hackintosh since high sierra now on monterey lol even monterey still get updates, isn't ipadOS the same?
Think I might set up a hackintosh just to back up iPhone photos.
