IMO, Ark would be a candidate. I don't have enough knowledge to certain.

We'll see when ARK arrives. Its at least a few years away.

Best to make use of what we have now. LN & liquid are good for spending when on chain fees are high

As far as I know, Ark is trustless. Anyway, trust required protocols can't be a solution.
