This is a high end shopping arcade home to premium/luxury brands and it’s completely dead.

Turns out when you lock your city down for 262 days with an 8pm-5am curfew and a 5km from home restriction to pursue a nonsensical “zero Covid” policy that it impacts the economy. I was in Melbourne for a conference in December last year. Even around the Southbank area where I was staying it felt a lot quieter than when I had been there previously.

Southbank is even quieter now mate. It’s more of a summer hangout for the outdoor dining on the Yarra which isn’t so great in winter. Had lunch there recently and we were 1 of 3 tables seated on a Thursday.
