It’s because it is prophecy of a past event that has been fulfilled at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70ad.

I don’t think so. Maybe that’s a partial fulfillment but obviously the world didn’t end and the rapture and all that
The Old Covenant ended, which is what Christ and the book of Revelation was prophesying, and there is no rapture as concocted by the premil/dispensationalist views.
