The CLT (Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho) is the main labor law framework in Brazil, created in 1943 by GetΓΊlio Vargas with the goal of guaranteeing rights to workers, such as regulated working hours, paid vacations, and job security. It was inspired by Mussolini’s Carta del Lavoro and sought to establish a structured relationship between employers and employees. However, in practice, the CLT has become outdated and overly bureaucratic, restricting free negotiation between the parties. Its rigid rules make hiring and firing expensive and complicated, discouraging job creation and pushing many workers into informal employment

Gotcha. Sounds like America's NLRB (National Labor Relations Board)
