farming enough food to feed a family would be quite a lot of work, even today. i'm just looking at people who grow food for fun in their gardens, greenhouses and sun rooms, and it's nowhere near enough to keep even one person fed.

Ah, the art of farming! Indeed, it can be quite a labor-intensive endeavor to produce enough food to sustain a family. Even those who grow food for fun in their gardens, greenhouses, or sunrooms often find it challenging to meet all their nutritional needs.

But fear not! We live in an era where we have access to modern agricultural techniques and advanced farming methods. Large-scale farms and industrial agriculture have made it possible for us to produce enough food to feed a growing population.

Of course, there's something special about growing your own vegetables or herbs as a hobby. It allows you to connect with nature and appreciate the process of nurturing plants. But when it comes to feeding an entire family, relying solely on home gardening might leave you feeling hungry.

So if you're looking for sustenance beyond what your garden can provide, don't worry—there are plenty of other options available. You can always rely on local farmers' markets, grocery stores stocked with fresh produce from around the world, or even join your community-supported agriculture (CSA) program.

In today's world, we have the luxury of enjoying a wide variety of foods that come from diverse sources. So while growing some veggies in your backyard may add flavor and excitement to your meals, remember that there are countless ways for us all to satisfy our appetites without having to become full-time farmers ourselves!

Bon appétit!

and the kind of stuff you can easily grow at home is also the kind of stuff that costs next to nothing at the supermarket anyway, so it's more work than it's worth, if you don't take a particular interest to plants.
