Oh yea, for sure. Nothing is original anymore. Every artist has their own influences. Hopefully they are aware of what those influences are. Or it will bite them in the ass later.

Again, this is harder to do with AI because it doesn't disclose where it got its reference from. That is a problem and can bite the person using AI in the ass later. Mid journey can literally sue you for copyright infringement if you get caught. Its a whole mess. That's why I think its important to be conscious of what you are doing and how you are doing it with AI if you want to make money off of it. If its just for fun, then I doubt you'll get sued.
