We wouldn’t have infinite resources though. We’d have space resources that require earth resources to go and extract. Sure eventually you’d use space resources to extract more space resources but that seems an awfully long way in the future.

For me abundant nuclear power is a far easier and more realistic path to global prosperity and human flourishing than searching for that in space.
