I paint the dots freehand with an airbrush no, masking or stencils. Like an offset print technique by hand.

Wow that’s pretty cool. I do paint from time to time myself, usually with spray paints. I like to use masking foil or tape.
I also learned briefly how to use airbrush, but that is almost 20 years ago 😅
