I’m Protestant. We do it the reverse way. We delegate authority upward to Synod. All authority comes from the members and their direct relationship with God. No centralized dude.

i know, but i could also talk about how the whole protestant religion maintains this idea that a compilation of texts made by corrupt romans is the "word of god" is pretty questionable as well
among christians the best ones i see are quakers and episcopal
to me, the purpose of the assembly is teaching, and the sharing and talking between the congregants after the sermon are just as important, and i especially dislike this business of "worship"
this also is based on another fallacy promoted by the original catholic church to convert jesus into the King and i question whether this is factual or a mixed up story related to a contemporary jewish resistance leader who was also executed by the romans with extensive documented evidence of this, for apparently this state-heresy of claiming authority over the jews
i just point to revelation 19:10 for this:
https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/Revelation/19/10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
note how he also doesn't assert identity between Jesus and God?
jesus is a servant of God just as this angel was and just as we are called to be
there is no earthly authority that is not beholden to Satan
Ok. I’ll stop there.
